Elise Ogilvie
Dance and early learning
Originally from Nairn, Elise began her dance training as part of Company NRN. Being involved in this youth dance company Elise performed in many shows including the Big Dance Show (Eden Court Theatre) and different charity events around the local community.
From here Elise took herself to Edinburgh where she gained a place on a 3 year BA honours dance course. Studying at Performing Arts School Scotland Elise achieved a first class degree in Dance with Drama.
During her time in Edinburgh, Elise had the opportunity to perform in the world famous Edinburgh fringe festival 2 years in a row. In 2022 she sang with company Vox stars in their show “Star Inspirations”. During the Fringe 2022 she performed with Haus of Gallus in their production “Breaking News!”
Elise also performed with her college in their yearly show “Cross Currents” (Church Hill Theatre).
Throughout her training at college Elise was sucessful in gaining a spot in the performance company which allowed her to gain extra performances including, Go Dance (Kings theatre, Glasgow) and the Soutar festival (Perth).
Elise also had the opportunity to direct and choreograph a 20 minute dance piece which was put on stage at the Assembly Roxy in 2023.
Since graduating, Elise has been teaching at a dance studio in Edinburgh choreographing for the schools annual show.
Elise is super excited to be part of the TFX team and work with all the wonderful staff and share her passion for the arts with the talented students!!
